Inspiration Takes Flight

Renowned artist Lucien F.A. Van Oosten captures the intricate patterns of nature in his paintings, pen-and-ink drawings and mixed-media work. His latest creative medium?  Words. Lucien's imaginative new illustrated book, K-Bridge: A Story About Discovery, explores the lessons of leadership, life and friendship through the perspectives of a flock of whimsical pigeons. During an onsite live edition of Over Coffee® at the recent inaugural Mystic Dragon Book Festival,  Lucien talked about his work as both an artist and an author, offered a mini-art lesson, and read a short selection from K-Bridge.   The Rescue -- The Irrefutable Saga of K-Bridge Flock,  by Lucien F.A. Van Oosten, is scheduled for publication in mid-November, 2015.   Meanwhile, if you'd like more information on his art classes, "Drawing Without an Eraser" and "Painting With the Primary Colors", the classes are offered through San Dimas Parks and Recreation.
